The Naha Hari dragon boat race takes place every year at the Naha Shinko Wharf during the May Golden Week holiday.
The boat race is a huge event with over five thousand competitors and over twenty thousand spectators attending annually.
At the Dragon Boat Museum, you can get up-close views of real Hari dragon boats that have been used in previous competitions.
(Please be aware that these boats will be at sea during the event, so they will not be available for viewing in the museum at that time.)
