Okinawan traditional performing arts

Naha Tenbusu Hall Naha Tenbusu Hall

Located on the top floor of the Naha Tenbusu building, in the middle of Kokusai Street, the Tenbusu Hall is a hotspot for Okinawan traditional culture. Our Hyakka Ryoran series, in particular, highlights different aspects of Okinawan performing arts every Thursday:
not only are the musical theater or traditional stage dances of the Royal court - both listed as Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity by UNESCO - performed, but also other folk arts from all areas of Okinawa Prefecture take place here. The programme changes every week.

※ Japanese and English subtitles are sometimes available. Please inquire beforehand.
