Temporary closure of the Makishi Public Market

Following the decision from Okinawa Governor to extend the temporary closure of public facilities, and as a measure to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, the Makishi Public Market is expected to stay closed until May 20.

However, as temporary closure is not mandatory, tenants might decide to reopen parts of the market prior to that date, with appropriate precautionary measures.

Conversely, closure may be extended further, along with the state of emergency. We appreciate your understanding.
