Creating beautiful ceramics for every day

Ikutoen Main Store Ikutoen Main Store

This is the main store of Ikuto-en, a company making traditional Tsuboya-yaki potteries, especially featuring current owner Takaesu Tadashi's signature technique of unglazed arabesque motifs, handcarved without sketching, and shisa lions of various sizes in the style of previous owner and famous artist Takaesu Ikuo. The place offers a new take, both modern and elegant, on the traditional Tsuboya-yaki style. Visitors can also try their hand at making vessels and shisa lions at the red-tiled roof studio.
